17 - Richard Marx - Reppeat Offender (1989)

Richard Noel Marx teve seu grande sucesso e auge de sua carreira exatamente nesse álbum, com aquela música que (pelo menos aqui no Brasil) a gente costuma escutar nas máquinas de Jukebox por aí, que conhecemos, sabemos que já ouvimos mas não nos lembramos do nome, a famosa 'Right Here Waiting', de beleza exuberante e que fazem lágrimas caírem de nossos olhos. Reppeat Offender conta também com a intrigante e fantástica 'Angelia', que passa um ar de melancolia no seu instrumental.

Com o sucesso pelo mundo todo Richard Marx tem algumas curiosidades, é nascido em 1963 na cidade de Chicago, foi vocalista de apoio de Lionel Richie, em 1983 nas gravações de 'Os embalos de sábado a noite continuam' ou no original 'Staying Alive', ele conheceu a atriz e bailarina Cynthia Rhodes (Que inclusive atuou em vários filmes maravilhosos como Flashdance e Dirty Dancing) e em 1989 se casou com ela e teve 3 filhos, que inclusive são músicos também, mas consideram muito brega o estilo de seu pai. (Tinha que ser né, esses moderninhos, hehe)

Falando sobre o álbum agora, é uma excelente pedida, o álbum é recheado de sucessos, desde baladas poderosas a músicas agitadas com uma pitada de Hard Rock, e como eu disse os carros chefe são 'Right Here Waiting, Angelia e Children of The Night', bem essas são as minhas preferidas, e quem ouvir, vai apreciar e ter suas favoritas também, vocês vão curtir esse grande clássico.
